When I was a child you read to me,
You bought books for our mini library,
The seeds for the love of my poetry,
Your investment for our family,

//

Thanks for introducing me Tolkien,
I didn’t need director’s commentary,
You guided me to what’s important,
Thanks for making me nerdy,

//

I know we didn’t have much money,
But we didn’t need all the luxury,
You took me to the DBKU library,
Every day I had a new story,

//

Every time I see a man holding his child,
My mind replays the episodic memories,
Kids, when you get released to the wild,
Talk to him, when you're happy or in misery

I miss you Dad,
I miss you

NOTE: The photo above isn't a photo of my Dad and I. However, I believe part of the poem's message is inspired by the picture above. Hold onto your father's hands tight. Please do read the accompanying poem, MOTHER.
